2024 Packard Spring Fling

We had a great time at America’s Packard Museum for the 2024 Packard Spring Fling. This year’s event was the best ever and we raised over $100,000! This year’s theme was Packard Powers America, with an exhibit featuring new Packard automobiles and artifacts on display for the first time. Our star-studded lineup included John Davis of PBS’s MotorWeek, a trip to the Champaign Aviation Museum, and a tour of a B-17 Flying Fortress in restoration.
Our very special guest speaker was John Davis, the Emmy® Award-winning producer, host, and creator of MotorWeek, television’s original and longest running automotive series. John can be seen and heard throughout the U.S. on PBS and the Velocity cable network. Through media appearances, John’s automotive industry expertise is tapped by commercial radio and television programs nationwide. As host for MotorWeek, now celebrating its 40th season, John Davis puts all the new car models through extensive road tests and judges their practicality for buyers. He also acts as final editor on all the new car road test segments and writes many of the test opinions as well as other portions of the program.
Champaign Lady is a World War II B17G Flying Fortress undergoing a full restoration at the Champaign Aviation Museum. Packard Spring Fling attendees received a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Champaign Lady and the other aircraft at the Museum.
